The apex of queer speculative fiction publishing.

Neon Hemlock is a Washington, DC-based small press publishing speculative fiction, rad zines and queer chapbooks. We punctuate our titles with oracle decks, occult ephemera and literary candles.

Publishers Weekly once called us “the apex of queer speculative fiction publishing” and we’re still beaming. Book Riot did a lovely profile of us in 2022. We have absurd Neon Hemlock merch here. Our various rad logos are by dave, Cameron Lucente, Robin Ha and Mod Blackmoon.

Reviewers can let us know they’re interested in receiving our titles here. Artists can let us know their rates and link to their portfolios here.

A Note on Shipping: Unfortunately, we can only ship candles within the US. For books, if your country doesn’t appear in the drop down menu, shoot us an email and we’ll add it. We have to add countries into our system manually; no, it doesn’t make sense.

A Note to Booksellers: Our novellas and anthologies are distributed through Ingram via Itasca Books. If you would prefer to buy directly from us, please reach out and we can provide competitive pricing.
